DekaYashi
DekaYashi is a two-person music production unit formed in 2022 by Kazuhira Degawa and Shinichi Yamamoto, who met through the production of an album and recognized the similarities in their musicality.
Members
Degawa is an active composer and arranger with extensive experience in music production and track making.
He creates a wide range of sound sources alone using computers, as typified by karaoke.
He is particularly interested in the ability to reproduce techniques with a focus on humanity.
He has produced many sound sources that reproduce live performances.
He has created more than 6,000 sound sources to date.
Yamamoto's musical background comes from his mother's songs and his grandmother's folk songs.
He has sung songs that transcend genres from children's songs, J-pop, and rock as far back as he can remember.
His daily humming of songs on his long commute to school has led him to writing lyrics and composing music today.
He has also been in many bands, and was a contestant on Fuji TV and Hamonep in high school, where he sang lead vocals and handled voice percussion.
As a vocalist, he also has a soft, elongated and clear voice.
On the other hand, he is a unique musician who also works as a nursery school teacher.
Episode of foundation
The debut song "Fushiginakotoga Ippai," which led to the formation of the unit, was born out of a conversation between the two in 2021.
The lyrics were made into a picture-story show by Ms. Chieko Kitayama and others, which was performed at a picture-story show convention in Toyama Prefecture.
The group has since been requested to release their music officially from various quarters, leading to the formation of the unit.
Character style
Yamamoto's style is to write lyrics about his own problems, emotions, realizations, and hopes that everyone knows.
Degawa adds songs that cover pop, rock, and jazz.
The unit name "DekaYashi" is a combination of the first letters of the members' names.
